· Comprehension and Reading Skills

During daily rehearsals we will lecture and test our students in music and music history as well as the study of our musical’s vocal and dance numbers. By integrating creative drama with reading and memorizing, our method helps students not only comprehend what they’ve read with regards to our scripts and lectures, but will also improve reading skills along with their overall comprehension of materials during their day-to-day school life and during standardized tests.

 

· Self-Confidence and Public Speaking

The typical lack of emphasis on public speaking in schools creates a life-long inhibition and weak oral communication skills. During our program, students will learn to overcome their nervous energy and perform in front of industry professionals and live audiences. It will help ease discomfort during public speaking as well as enhance self-esteem and self-image, all of which have strong implication for long-term classroom and life-long professional success.

 

· Concentration and Discipline

Children are very receptive to learning through creative methods. Our program provides an exciting and fun way for students to learn to manage their time, maintain good grades and monitor their behavior. Quiet moments, where students focus and concentrate on breathing help them find their inner core and teach them how to handle distractions in their day-to-day lives. Team work and discipline are built by learning the songs, narration and dances for the grand production.

 

· Musical History and Appreciation

In our daily rehearsals, students will not only practice the musical and dancing numbers, but will also learn the background of musicals and the performers of that genre. Through exposure to new music styles, students widen their musical horizon and learn to keep an open mind.

 

· Singing and Stage Performance Skills

The Special Program is a fantastic opportunity for students to learn singing and dancing the way the pros do. While the focus of our program are improvements in academic performance, students can’t help but benefit from the close collaboration with our professional singing coaches and choreographers. As one of our program’s highlights, students will visit a professional recording studio, where they will observe and participate in a real-life recording session.
